Same shit, different year.  

Isn’t it annoying how fast the year goes by? I can still hear the echo of the bottle corks popping on New Year’s Eve, and suddenly my coffee cup from the shop around the corner is covered in Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. 

A drop of cold sweat runs down my spine. My heart begins to beat faster. I can feel a portion of my hair turn grey. 

It’s the time of the year again. It’s time to buy Christmas presents. Don’t we all love it? What is it going to be this year? A pair of socks for dad? A bottle of wine for mum? Wow. I’ve been on this earth for over three decades and yet this is as far as my creativity reaches. What if there was a better way? Maybe there is a list somewhere that’ll point me in the right direction?
